Love Impales – A Poem Of Mine

“What do you want from me?”
Um, are you fucking kidding me?
After the companionship
and support I gave you,
this is how you talk to me?
So rude.
And for what?
To rub it in my face
that you just don’t give a fuck?
Where’s our closeness
or our friendship?
I thought we shared
a comedic kinship.
New muse?
New flesh?
Your coldness makes my heart a mess.
Ignore me and dodge questions
just to keep the upper hand,
thinking women are obsessed with you
while never defining where they stand.
You treat them like they’ll be your wife
then turn around and bail from strife,
you treat them like they’re crazy.
A classic tale
of how love impales
when your man is
emotionally lazy.

Some Hot Little Journey – A Poem Of Mine

the leaf
the cop
the mechanic,
a heart
a lie
a heretic,
the hours
they pass
in anticipation,
all that
this got her
was swift
condemnation,
he laughed
and she cried
while she knew
you’d be kind
so she told you
all of her worries,
he played with her mind
so she pushed
love aside
just to live out
some
hot
little
journey.

From: Romeo, To: Juliet – A Poem Of Mine

It’s like we’re
Romeo
and Juliet
a Montague
and a Capulet
completely vulnerable
to the constant
wall between us.
A natural
connection,
true love’s
aura
needs protection,
even if that’s what
will kill us
in the end.
Family perceptions,
a triggering
fear
of relational discretions,
it’s like they say
if it’s easy come
then it’s easy go.
We can’t deny
the vibe here
even if us together
isn’t able to
survive here,
there will always
be a yearning
in my chest.
A fluke or fate
that we ended up here,
my intuition is on high gear,
knowing what stumbled upon us
is a chemistry that will never end.
Rebellious transgressions,
passive insensitive suggestions,
they want us to believe
this will never work.
Knowing that we’re bound here,
this comfort that we
have found here,
I wont forget you
as long as I’m
living
on this earth.
